WHAT WE'RE About

VISION

Our vision is to change the spiritual landscape of Powell and the greater Columbus area for decades to come as we not only share, but also show the Good News of Jesus.

MISSION

Our mission is to share the Good News of Jesus as we help people take next steps in their walk with God.

Core Values

Faithfulness. We can do many great things in the eyes of the world, but unless it is motivated by an obedience to God, we are left with nothing more than filthy rags.

Generosity. We serve a generous God and He calls us to be like Him in every way. Generosity changes the lives of both the giver and receiver. We have been blessed by God, therefore we should be a blessing to others.

Clarity. Communicating clearly so that someone else will understand how to grow in their walk with God is far more valuable than the person who has great knowledge but can’t pass it on to anyone else.

Simplicity. Simplicity keeps us focused on the mission. Don’t get bogged down in lots of good things and miss the best things that God has called us all to.

What we believe

  • There is one God and Lord of all. He is the beginning and the end of all things as Creator God. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Revelation 22:13)

  • Jesus was literally God in the flesh. (John 1:1-5+14)

  • Jesus died for the sins of the world and raised from the grave to give those who put their faith and trust in Him eternal life. (John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:4)

  • Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead. (Revelation 22:12; 1 Peter 4:5)

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • Jesus gives His followers His literal presence as our Counselor and Comforter to be with them forever, His Holy Spirit. (John 14:15-18; John 16:7-11)

  • Every single person is separated from God outside of Jesus Christ because all have sinned, and Jesus is the only way to find salvation. (Romans 3:22-24; Romans 6:23; John 14:6)

  • Jesus Christ is the only one that can save us from the penalty of our sins (eternal death) and reunite us to our creator God (eternal life). (John 14:6; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

  • Jesus is the only one who can save us, and our response to that truth must be to put our faith and trust in Him as Lord, repent of our sins, and be baptized, which is where we identify with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection that saves us. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 2:38-39; Romans 6:3-4)

  • Jesus calls those under His Lordship to remember His body and blood that was given for us on the cross until He returns again. This is commonly referred to as the Lord’s Supper or Communion. (Matthew 26:26-30; Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

  • The church is Jesus’ body in action here on earth, therefore you cannot be fully committed to Christ without being fully committed to a local church. (Ephesians 1:22)

  • When we die, or when Jesus returns again on judgement day (whichever comes first), those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus as their Lord will join Him in all of His perfection and glory forever (eternal life). Those who have rejected Jesus as Lord will be eternally separated from God (hell). (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 25:31-46)
