Summer Hot Spots

We hope that you'll continue to build friendships and community this Summer.  One way you can do that is through our Summer Hot Spots planned meet-ups!  Feel free to invite friends & family, and join in the fun as we gather together for some fun in the sun!

June Summer Hot Spots:

Zoo Meet Up- Friday the 3rd @10am @ The Columbus Zoo 

Meet at the main zoo entrance! 

Movie Night Meet Up- Friday the 10th @8:30pm @Village Green Park

This is a community event put on by Powell Parks and Recs.  Details regarding which movie they will show are forth coming.  Bring a blanket/chair & some yummy movie snacks, and meet at the brick Village Green sign to be ushered to our group.  

Trails & Creeks Meet Up- Wednesday the 15th @6:30pm @Shale Hollow Park 

Meet at the lodge building near the parking lot.  Come prepared for lots of wet and walking fun!  Shale Hollow Park is a great spot to stomp through the creek, search for bugs & creatures and walk peaceful trails!  

Powell Festival- Friday the 24th beginning @5pm AND Saturday the 25th beginning @12pm 

Good New Church will have a booth set up at this iconic Powell event.  Come for the fun, food and entertainment, and don't forget to stop by the Good News Booth to say hello!  The events ends on Saturday with fireworks! 

July Summer Hot Spots: 

Picnic & Play-  Thursday the 14th @6pm @ Liberty Park (meet at the playground furthest back)

After entering the park follow the driveway all the way to the playground area furthest back.  This playground is close to the pond too, so feel free to bring your fishing gear and don't forget your dinner!

Ice Cream Meet Up- Sunday the 31st @1pm @ Handel's in Powell 

There is a small playground just behind Handel's, so grab a cool treat and head back to the playground and picnic tables for some fellowship and fun.  

August Summer Hot Spots:

VBS Celebration Sunday- Sunday the 7th @10am @Good News Church

You won't want to miss this fun VBS Celebration!  We will close out our VBS weekend with all kids and adults worshiping together, PLUS enjoy fun activities after church including lunch and farm themed fun!

Picnic & Play- Tuesday the 16th @11am  @Emerald Fields Park 

This is a smaller playground, so just park your car and head on up to the play area.  Bring your lunch and prep for plenty of sunshine!
