Matt Dove

My roots can be found in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I grew up with my triplet brothers. When I was born I weighed a whopping 1 pound 11 ounces, and was the smallest of my two brothers. Turns out, I became the tallest because I ate my vegetables and theirs, lol. When I wasn’t in school, I often found myself outdoors, whether it was hiking, hunting, fishing or counseling at every week of church camp I could and this still applies today. After high school, I attended Ohio Valley University in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where I majored in biblical studies with an emphasis in Family and Youth. Through a string of connections, I was connected with Cody Balch, our lead Pastor here at Good News Church. During the summer of 2019, Cody invited me to be the summer intern and work directly with the teens here at GNC. I absolutely fell in love with the mission, the vision, and the community here at GNC, and knew once I graduated, I had to return. I was blessed to be hired full time in April 2021, and I haven’t looked back since!
